2. Bugatti Veyron Super Sport

Bugatti Veyron SS

It was Volkswagen dream to create a supercar with the fastest speed. The result was the acquisition of the Bugatti brand and the development of the Bugatti Veyron, under the direction of Hartmut Warkuss as the chief designer. Powered by a quad-turbocharged W16 engine that can produce 1,000 horsepower, the original Bugatti Veyron instantly captured the attention of the industry and was given the fastest car in the world title. The title was momentarily stripped due to the arrival of the SSC Ultimate Aero, another supercar that managed to beat the speed record of the Bugatti. But this did not stop the Bugatti engineers as they set to design another version- a much faster and power Bugatti Veyron Super Sport, with lots of aerodynamic changes and a 1,200-hp production to hit 268 mph, making the model as the fastest street-legal production car in the world (per Guinness World Records), and the roadster version as the fastest roadster in the world.
