Lamborghini Silhouette (1978 – 1980)
The Silhouette that was made available from 1978 to 1980 took design inspiration from the previous Lamborghini Uracco, and was the first Lamborghini model to feature a Targa roof. This was officially presented to the public at the Geneva Auto Show (1976), and was the basis for the development of a future Lamborghini, the Lamborghini Jalpa. The Lamborghini Silhoutte is fitted with a 3-liter V8 engine, mounted transversely. Only 54 units were manufactured, and it is believed that only 31 exists today. Official records indicate that the Silhouette has a top speed of 260 kph.
