Well known presenter and head man on Top Gear Jeremy Clarkson has faced no end of controversy in the last year.   With several incidents around racism, the beloved presenter faced severe backlash and resistance from the public and the BBC, with the BBC going so far as to threaten to fire him, and placing him on probation.    With so many incidences in the recent past, it should come as no surprise that his most recent incident has the BBC suspending him, and Top Gear pending further action.    The following is the complete list of his “Fracas” that have built to this.

  • Angelo Owe Ngeye

He should have been sacked by around let’s say…2011

    • http://unlimitedrevs.com Alex Filsinger

Based on what? He is partially responsible for the shows success. By firing Jezza, The BBC is walking away from 350 million viewers per week.

      • kent

would u hve the same sentiments if he did it to u genius

        • http://unlimitedrevs.com Alex Filsinger

Sure.. The man is a bit of a genius in automotive journalism and automotive TV. Getting punched in the face isn’t going to change my opinion.

          • frans van erk

a genius troublemaker, yes I agree.

          • Kenneth Glendinning

It’s ENTERTAINMENT, somewhere along the line of, let’s say, a spectrum of 0-to-1,000. Look at “The Simpsons” for example. Clarkson has been ‘RISQUE’ but not EXTREMELY IRREVERENT.

There’s always the buttons on the remote control – you know – for altenative viewing. Life is full of choices – you buy this brand OR that. The beauty of the rich, rich environent within which we exist today, is BOTH the AMOUNT of and, the POWER of, CHOICE.

          • Jawellnofine

Agree, these people that are compaining are so idiotic. They arent being forced to watch it, like matchsticks holding their eyes open and such.
Get A Life guys, use the remote to change channels, or better still get up and go for a walk outside, maybe a car will hit you…

      • Realist

mmm, ok so lets say your wife gets a punch in the face or you boy, lets say it is not this retard but a different retard, you will throw the book so hard their heads will spin. Such actions can not let be just as any hooliganism can not let be.

        • Kenneth Glendinning

The guy who got the punch in the mouth should not have put so much LIP forward in the first place.

You know, there’s no smoke without fire, AND, it takes two to TANGO !

          • Realist

OK, so you one of those that lost control and assaulted someone? oh not, ah cause you are civilized, see he did not stop himself and like a kid lashed out, so he should be learnt a lesson like a kid, take his toys away

          • Kenneth Glendinning

            Aita, Realist, chommie, Howzit.
            Me am hundreds.

            See now, you tune me.
Bias may have caused you to jump too quickly to an incorrect assumption.

Aikona ! have I assaulted any person – no way, Jose.
However, it has occasionally been necessary to demonstrate my ability in self-defence.

Dat JP, he no Tokoloshe, just entertainer trying to make folks laugh at home, and to enjoy an hour of escapism.

Many of dem stunts are a bit adrenaline-fuelled. Allof de people working in dat arena would have been affected by dat and dey all should have been aware.

You know, to ERR is HUMAN.
            To FORGIVE is DIVINE.

So, bra, hold back on that tax-free wackie-weed down there in those southern veld parts.

    • Hadenuf_SA

You’re one of a handful that just doesn’t get it.

  • Kiwikeith

Clarkson should remember that a closed mouth gathers no feet. The blokes a spoiled idiot.

    • Hadenuf_SA

      Happily you’re in the minority.

    • Kenneth Glendinning

DIVA or NOT – if he were a PLC, his market capitalisation would have put him in the FTSE100.
For this, he should have been respected – and when he said “JUMP” the ONLY response that would have been deemed to be appropriate, would have been “HOW HIGH, SIR.”
But, perhaps, just maybe, I am part of a dying class, with old-fashioned values.

  • mjwoodman

    For incidences read incidents.

  • 1scampsuzi .

In view of the number of times George Michael has been caught either drugged up to the eyeballs or importuning I feel that Clarkesons remarks are wholly appropriate!!

  • Simonn Dames

Clarkson is the one reason Top Gear is successful. If it wasnt for him TG would have been just like all the other car shows out there. Clarkson makes it fun and personally I think people are to easily offended. We hear Jeff Dunham joke about the Mexicans but no fuss is made about that because he is a comedian why should anyone else be treated different about their remarks as clearly Clarkson is joking.

    • frans van erk

      Clarkson is an overrated asshole.

      • Kenneth Glendinning

        “In Your HUMBLE Opinion”

    • Kenneth Glendinning

SPOT ON, my good man. lovely to hear the words of a reallist – with his head screwed on right.

  • kent

all clarksons fans hope someday what he has done happens to u

  • Realist

what i find more laughable is the fact that a person playing juvenile games and juvenile antics has any adult following at all.

  • Kiwikeith

Clarkson tripped over his own tongue, god himself only knows just how many warnings Clarkson has received from the BBC as a result of complaints from the audience of Top Gear. Plus striking a producer in the face was the very last straw and as a result he got the DCM. (don’t come Monday) I think Mr Glendinning If Clarkson’s shares were on the FTSEee they would have hit rock bottom by now, by Clarkson’s own antics. Clarkson is a bully loved only by the minority of uneducated petrol heads. Do you fit into that category?

  • George

Without Clarkson it will be from Top Gear to Reverse Gear. It will never be the same so they can just as well rename it. As for me,I’ll watch Fifth Gear.

  • ProudlyFemale

Politically correct – as many sides as a dice. I personally don’t particularly like Clarkson – he’s big and ugly and has an ego bigger than the whole of the BBC. I wonder how “Hamster” felt about his name all those years. This is plain ridiculous – politically correct – as a white person I have to think before I say anything to anyone because at birth (almost) I was branded with the name racist whether I am or not, but because I am white. Theres no doubt Clarkson crosses the line and a lot of what he says is completely uncalled for – but come on, even I don’t take him seriously most of the time. How many jokes did the English Man and Irish Man and Scot (or Jew) put up with without blinking – or how many “blond” jokes would have to be banned to make life politically correct. How many years have women put up with being the butt of jokes? And finally, when someone cannot make a comment on how stunning your photo looks – we’ve jumped off the cliff of sensibility and SHE should put up a picture of herself in a hoody with sunglasses. Its all getting sooooo out of control….

  • Kiwikeith

A month in the slammer for common assault would have done him a lot of good.
I can’t blame his Mrs for clearing of. Living with this bloke for as long as she did shows she must have had the patience of a saint. I’m looking forward to the new top gear!! Bring it on Chris!!
