Dodge Challenger Hellcat

4. Expect to pay more on gas

Some of these supercars with tremendous horsepower are not built for fuel efficiency; most of these models are designed and made for power. So when you buy a horsepower-rich car, expect to pay more for gas since these are not really the icons for fuel efficiency. Just take the case of the 2015 Challenger SRT Hellcat, a power car from Chrysler that initially promises to deliver 20 miles on every gallon. Although this may seem like a sensible gas usage for a powerful car on the road, it should be kept in mind that that when the Hellcat is unleashed to run on its full potential, this car can burn 1.5 gallons of gasoline every minute. This kind of performance is definitely painful on the wallet and will allow you to rethink that extra horsepower.
