4. 2017 Kia Optima Hybrid
Before the 2017 Kia Optima was released in the market, this make and model was already considered a leader when it comes to fuel efficiency. When this was released as a 2015 model, this hybrid featured a 36 combined city and highway miles per gallon efficiency, making this a competent car on the road. But for the 2017 model, the manufacturer targeted a 10 percent improvement in fuel efficiency to compete with some of the leading fuel efficient cars in the market. The result is the 2017 Kia Optima Hybrid that is an improvement versions, submitting a 38 miles per gallon for city driving and 40 miles per gallon for highway driving, for a combined 39 miles per gallon. While this falls short to the planned, this is still a great number for the Optima hybrid. When gas and electric is combined, it offers a 99 MPGe result.
