14. 1980 Corvette 305 “California”
The 1980s was known for outrageous designs and car concepts, and the 1980 Corvette 305 California is no different. While other car models were available in different engine configurations, the Corvette 305 was only available in one option, the 305 cu inch motor. Only one transmission is available for buyers, an automatic transmission. This was the only option available for the manufacturer during this time due to strict emissions regulations. And because there’s no other engine options, the Corvette owners were treated to poor engine performance. The elongated hood of the Corvette 305 did not help either in boosting its sales.
15. 1976 Aston Martin Lagonda
The 1976 Aston Martin Lagonda is one beautiful exotic designed by William Towns. But mechanically, it was a different story for the Lagonda. This car was fitted with high modern and industry-leading electronics that could actually change the way people perceive driving if only these add-ons worked. Some say that the Aston Martin Lagonda was an acquired taste. Indeed, you should be truly into the Aston Martin and the so-called futuristic design to truly appreciate the Lagonda of the 1970s.
