Ford F150
Ford may have a best-selling vehicle in its stable, but it comes at a ‘price’. The F-150 and the F-series have been considered the best-selling trucks for years, and was highly rated by Motor Trend (2009), Kelly Blue Books(2009) and a Top Safety Pick by Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The America’s favorite pick-up truck is also officially a favorite by car thieves as well, and 2013 there were roughly 26,000 F-150 pick-ups that were stolen. Roughly 700 of these trucks were 2013 models. It isn’t just in the United States the Ford F-series trucks are getting the attention of thieves. Even in Canada, the F-series is a favorite among thieves and operators. According to the Insurance Bureau of Canada or IBC, the F-series has become the sought-after nameplate among thieves led by 2007 Ford F-350. Driving a Ford F-150 on and off the road may give you the confidence and that sense of style, but be aware of the places where you will leave and park your pick-up. Take the keys and keep an eye on your F-150 or else, you will regret that moment you parked your truck in an unlighted portion of the street!
