7. Lamborghini Aventador
To show off the acquisition of the Lamborghini Aventador, the picture of the supercar was tweeted, re-tweeted as #onlyinDubai. Indeed, it’s only in Dubai can you find a flashy fleet of supercars and reliable off-roaders that work for the police force. At nearly $400,000 for the all-wheel drive 2-door coupe, the Lamborghini Aventador is a striking presence both in the parking lots and the city roads. Powered by a V12 engine that can reach a top speed of 217 mph and moves from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.9 seconds, the Aventador is given two roles in the elite Dubai Police Force. One, it serves as a marketing tool used to promote the department and ensure complete (and striking) police visibility. Two, it can always be used as the go-to patrol car for dedicated officers who need top speed to run after the usual offenders on the road.
