6. Mitsubishi Mirage
In the same Consumer Reports listing, the Mitsubishi Mirage manages to snag a low score primarily due to problematic acceleration, clumsy handling and vibrations and noises. Price-wise, the Mitsubishi Mirage offered from $12,995 to $15,395 is a breath of fresh air, but performance-wise, the Mirage offers less-than promising results. While the Mirage has been advertised as a fuel-efficient vehicle with 37 mpg overall, the problem surfaces as soon as you drive the car. The Mirage also suffers in terms of safety, and was rated Poor by the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety.
