The best-selling automobiles are those cars and light trucks which claim to being the highest selling vehicles in the markets they compete in since their introductions. These vehicles often boast for the practicality, affordability, with significant amount of power and handling that meet consumer needs.

They may not be the sexiest cars of all time; however, there seems to be one on every corner. With no sign of sales slowing down, many of these cars have lasted decades.

Different people feel comfortable in a different environment and they may have different sort of criteria dictating what they’re looking for at different situations. So, the numbers keep on changing year by year in the top-selling list.

While manufacturers’ provide references to verify their claims, there is always chance for hyperbole or inaccuracy because there is no authoritative standard for measuring units sold. For example a single car may be sold all at once in different markets under various nameplates. In such situations, manufacturers often give only aggregate figures sold for all models.

However for the most part it all seems to make sense whether they’re reasonably priced worldwide, or have been in production for a long time with trusted nameplates; still these cars are best-selling for a reason.
