Lamborghini Aventador

Lamborghini Aventador (2011 -present)

The Lamborghini Aventador was officially launched at the Geneva Auto Show, and was designed as a replacement for the Murcielago. The company advertised that production will be limited to just 4,000 units, and only 8 molds were used in making the Aventador. Each mold can be used up to 500 times. The car’s shape borrows heavily from the Estoque concept car and the Reventon. To make this model powerful, Lamborghini used the 6.5-liter V12 engine, an in-house engine of the company. Graziano Transmisison took care of the transmission and Haldex Traction supplied the all-wheel drive system. Official top speed of the Aventador reaches 370 km/h, and can move from 0 to 9 km/h in 2.9 seconds. Special edition Aventadors were also made available to the public that includes Aventador J, Aventador LP 720-4 50° Anniversario and Aventador Pirelli Edition, a collaboration of the company with Pirelli. A basic Aventador has a base price of US$393,695.
