Lamborghini Models Through the Years- A Quick Look at the Most Powerful Vehicles Ever Made!
Lamborghini Diablo (1990–2001)
Its name is taken from the Spanish word for ‘devil’, and indeed this Lamborghini model offers devilish performance on and off the road. This was the first Lamborghini to register more than 200 miles per hour at top speed. This performance is expected since the company invested time and money into a project called ‘Project 132’ as a platform to find a worthy replacement for the iconic Countach. According to the plan, this new model should deliver at least 196 kph as top speed. The result is the supercar Diablo, which is also inspired by another breed of fighting bull. When the Diablo was introduced to the market, it immediately became the most favored and powerful sports car around. It registered a top speed of 325 kph, and can move from 0 to 100 in 4.5 seconds. Throughout its production period from 1990 to 2001, the company offered different variants of the Diablo including the Diablo VT that features an all-wheel drive. Its GT version, the racing version of the Diablo has a starting price of $300,000.
