1: Ignoring the Check Engine Light
If your Check Engine Light is on, then get your car to a mechanic and get it looked at. At the very minimum, if you have an OBD2 scanner, pull the codes yourself and figure out how urgent the issue is. If you ignore this light, you could potentially be letting your engine destroy itself from the inside out.
