5: Forgetting to Change The Oil
The engine pictured above is clearly had issues besides failure to change the oil, it doesn’t negate the point. Failure to change the oil leads to a buildup of metal filings inside the oil, and eventually they wear away at the cylinder walls, valves, and other motor components. On top of that, motors naturally burn some oil, and if you neglect it long enough, you will end up with metal on metal, and your motor will seize, rendering it destroyed or “blown”, which means you would have to replace it.
