The 911 Turbo and the GTR have been rivals since 2009 when Nissan released the R35. The 911 turbo has been recognized as the benchmark for performance for two decades now, but since the R35 GTR came out, its had serious competition. The GTR came out with nearly identical specs, but with a much faster double clutch transmission, and initially blew the Porsche out of the water. Not only stock, but in the aftermarket the GTR consistently out performs Porsche turbos left and right.
