4. Symbol of independence and ‘coming of age’
There are a few achievements in the life of a teen that can be considered significant and symbol independence. And one of these is applying for a driver’s license and driving his own car without fear of being get caught or penalized by authorities. But it should be kept in mind certain restrictions that are in place that govern the issuance of these driver licenses to teens. For example, the Department of Motor Vehicles or DMV recommends that teen drivers aged 16 to 17 who recently obtained their drivers’ licenses should only drive with a parent or a guardian with a driver’s license for the first 6 months.
