2. Help transport family members and siblings
It is not every time parents are always available to run errands and transport siblings and other family members to school, the supermarket or the nearest malls. If a teenage member of the family is already a licensed driver, then he can serve as a dependable partner in completing some of the daily tasks at home, like dropping off the kids at school or running an errand. And when an older member of the family is totally incapable of driving the car because of an injury or simply because he is out of town, a licensed teen can get the job done without disrupting the schedule of the household. Although licensed teens can drive their siblings, it should be kept in mind that there are some states that will restrict the number of passengers that a teen driver can transport at a time. So it’s best to check with local and state laws before taking a long drive.
