22. 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Coupe
Most modern cars are alike in terms of general design, but there are some aesthetic and functional additions that make one model stand out from the rest. For example, the inclusion of gull wing doors is one detail that helped define a model from the rest in the fleet. The gull wing door feature has been incorporated in a number of sports cars in the 1970s and 1980s, but one of the first models that made use of the concept was the 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SL coupe. This model was ahead of its time in terms of design and performance, and it is not surprising to know that a number of celebrities owned, maintained and restored this model including Jay Leno.
