The 1980s is known for outrageous music, costumes and yes, cars. This is the time when some of the weirdest, oddest but fun cars of history were designed and manufactured, and some of these memorable makes and models are still remembered and treasured up until this time. A perfect example of this is the DeLorean DMC-12, a car manufactured from 1981 to 1982. This car model is known for its use of fiberglass ‘underbody’ and gull-wing doors, making this an iconic and refreshing model during the 1980s. The DeLorean is best known for its role in the classic, Back to the Future franchise where it was used as a time machine. Thanks to its starring role in the movie and interesting design and use of gull-wing doors, the DeLorean DMC-12 has become of the most insane and interesting cars to come out of the 1980s.
