17. 2017 Lexus NX 300h
When it comes to fuel efficiency, many car owners and enthusiasts think of small and compact sedans. This is not surprising since some of the best and fuel efficient cars in the market are from the compact and sedan segments. While this is true, there are small and large-sized SUVs that can also be included in the list of most fuel efficient vehicles. A great example is the new 2017 Lexus NX300h, a small SUV inspired by the Toyota RAV4. This is your regular SUV, with responsive handling and sturdy looks, but its main distinction among some SUVs is that it comes with better fuel efficiency. Based on several road tests, the NX 300h comes with a 23 miles per gallon for city driving, and 34 miles per gallon for highway, not bad for an SUV.
