This military vehicle will make the Humvee look soft and too amateur. Meet the IMI CombatGuard, a capable and tough armoured vehicle developed by Israel Military Industries. This was first shown to the general public at the 2014 Eurosatory defense and security show in Paris, and loaded with off-road capabilities that can easily outsmart some of the popular off-road military vehicles in the market, including the Humvee.
Just take a good look at its specs and off-road credentials to understand how powerful this military armoured vehicle can be. The IMI CombatGuard is fitted with 54-inch tires, with 3 feet worth of ground clearance, making this an efficient service vehicle for a number of operations, in different terrains. It can easily work a 70-degree slope, and can easily handle hurdles up to 2.6 feet high.
This off-road monster weighs more than 17,000 lbs, but it can reach speeds up to 93 mph, and when operating on dirt, this armoured vehicle can work out 75 mph. The power is sourc ed from the Cobra turbo diesel engine that produces 300 hp.
