7.Zubr-class LCAC
Russians know how to build huge and menacing naval vessels and other military vehicles, and the Zubr-class LCAC is no exemption. Also known as Pomornik in NATO circles, this air-cushioned landing craft is considered one of the world’s largest naval vessels, with a displacement of 555 tons. The Zubr-class LCAC is designed to perform a number of naval functions, including the transport amphibious assault units including tanks and marines, and transport naval mines.
The troops and occupants of this naval craft are protected against enemy fires including weapons of mass destruction, thanks to the use of airtight sealing in the vessel’s combat stations. Also, the passengers and occupants have access to protection suits and individual gas masks.
