Sea Shadow IX-529

9. Sea Shadow IX-529

It was during the 1980s when the stealth technology for use in naval forces was tested in the most secretive manner. And taking the lead in exploiting this new technology was the United States, though Lockheed. In 1984, the company tested the application and use of stealth technology, and the result was the project that involves Sea Shadow IX-529. and since this was a relatively new technology, and the government is running the project with caution, the general public was left in the dark in the next few years.

The naval vessel was unveiled to the general public in 1993, but this never saw the light of full production. Although this was not manufactured in large numbers, the Sea Shadow had its own share of the spotlight, at least for a few brief moments. This was used as the inspiration for the stealth ship that was used in the James Bond film, Tomorrow Never Dies.
