Cadillac has built itself as a provider of quality and high-end vehicles for consumers and car buyers looking for dependable cars. Through the years, it managed to compete well with BMW and Mercedes Benz. But its history is also littered by bad car choices offered to the public.
A classic example of this is the Cadillac Cimarron, called a rebadging disaster for the company. The problem with the Cimarron is that it tried to combine luxury and economy, offering bad results. During its time, it costs the buyer $12,000 but in return, the buyer only gets a supposedly luxury car that can produce 88 horsepower from a 2.0-liter four cylinder engine. Style-wise, the Cimarron is also forgettable.
