But what the company failed to put into consideration is the design and the safety of the car. When the car was released, many car owners and buyers reported problems with the car, saying that the car would burst into flames after a collisions. Complaints and lawsuits were hurled against the manufacturer, with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration joining the fray, calling for Pinto recalls.
