14.Al-Khalid (Pakistan)
In Pakistan, one group that is tasked to protect the country is the Army’s Armoured Corps. As a proud fighting arm of the Pakistani Army, this group is also backed by reliable battle tanks, lead by the Al-Khalid Main Battle Tank. This main battle tank was manufactured thanks to the collaboration of Heavy Industries Taxila from Pakistan and China North Industries Corporation, and its first prototype was made available in the early 1990s. This tank was designed and manufactured based on the Type 90-II tank (China), and a total of 600 tanks were manufactured. This main battle tank takes inspiration from Chinese and Russian design philosophies, resulting in a more smaller and lighter tank when compared to the leading powerful tanks in the world.
