Mount Emei Scenic Area: Leshan Giant Buddha, China
The main Buddhist sanctuary in China was worked here in Sichuan Province in the first century A.D. in the excellent surroundings of the summit Mount Emei. The expansion of different sanctuaries transformed the site into one of Buddhism’s holiest destinations. Throughout the hundreds of years, the social fortunes developed in number.
